Night Skies of the American Southwest is an ode to spending nights outside with a camera shooting everything from the Milky Way to starry, starry nights to evening thunderstorms to phenomenon such as comets, the full moon, and meteor showers. Those that live in the western United States sometimes take for granted our dark night skies while travelers from the east and all over the world arrive and are awestruck by the immensity of a sky full of stars. Night Skies of the American Southwest will inspire everyone to spend more nights outside under the stars; and, out public lands offer some of the best opportunities. There is a saying in our national parks and monuments... Half the park is after dark!
